RESTON, Va. (September 20, 2022) – Brightspot, an industry leader of content management, workflow solutions and services for top global brands, today announced the appointment of Raleigh McClayton as its Chief Executive Officer. McClayton joins Brightspot after a distinguished career leading technology companies in the food and commercial real estate industries. David Gang, who has served as Chief Executive Officer since co-founding the company in 2008, will partner with McClayton and continue his work in a new role as President and Chief Customer Officer effective immediately.
"Brightspot is in the right position to serve the content industry which needs our platform and services. We are excited to have Raleigh working with the team to continue to build on our momentum in 2022,” said Gang who shared more about the transition in an open letter on the Brightspot website.
McClayton joins Brightspot having led both B2B and B2C software and technology firms over the past decade. Most recently, he was CEO of ArrowStream, a Supply Chain software business that was acquired by Buyer’s Edge Platform earlier this year. Prior to ArrowStream, he served as President of LoopNet, the largest advertising platform for commercial real estate. He was a member of the leadership team at Grubhub for five years prior to its acquisition by Just Eat Takeaway. Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Digital Marketing and Strategy for Restaurant Brands International for four years, overseeing the digital growth of leading restaurant brands.
“The team, our mission, and our best-in-class products make me incredibly humbled and excited to lead this organization,” said McClayton. “It’s clear the company is obsessed with helping customers manage and support their digital content. The foundation of the business was built on giving back to the community, and that facet is certainly appealing and pervades the company. We continue to invest heavily in our product and people. I’m thrilled to partner with David and the rest of the executive team moving forward.”
