RESTON, Va. (May 14, 2021) - Brightspot, the leading content management system, announced that Australian broadcasting corporation Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) has chosen Brightspot CMS as its single enterprise CMS in order to gain increased publishing power.
SBS is one of five major free-to-air networks in Australia, with a portfolio that spans five TV channels, an extensive radio network, and a digital offering with on-demand content. The company had multiple CMS platforms that made content management inefficient and cumbersome. The organization was in need of a publishing solution that could support content in over 60 languages, including some languages that use non-traditional fonts or text, making the requirements of the solution more complex. Knowing that Brightspot could support this need was a major factor in SBS’s decision.
SBS will leverage Brightspot’s headless CMS architecture, enabling the company to customize website front ends and publish personalized content across properties. The organization will also take advantage of Brightspot’s multi-site management capabilities, the Assignment Desk feature for organizing content workflows, video and audio integrations, and more.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with SBS, continuing our work of supporting mission-driven public media organizations throughout their digital transformation efforts," said Sandeep Hulsandra, SVP & General Manager, Media Practice at Brightspot. "More than 13 million Australians enjoy SBS content each month, and their truly national coverage reaches 99% of Australian homes, marking an exciting expansion of Brightspot’s presence in the ANZ region."
