External page
You can create an external page to promote content that is outside of Brightspot. Using an external page, you can include a promotion for this external content in lists and in search results.
To create an external page:
- In the header, click .
- From the Create list, select External Page.
- Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
- Click Save.
External Page fields
Click each tab below to see a description of the associated fields.
Field | Description |
Internal Name | Enter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site. |
Promo Title | Enter a title for this asset. This title is visible to the visitors to your site. |
Promo Description | Enter a description that describes this asset. This description is visible to the visitors to your site. |
Promo Category | Enter a promo category for the external page. |
Promo Image | Enter a promo image for the external page. |
Exclude from Dynamic Results | Toggle on to prevent this asset from showing up in dynamic list modules. For details, see List module. |
Exclude from Search Results | Exclude from Search Results |
Section | Select the section to which this external page belongs. |
Secondary Sections | Select the secondary sections associated with this asset. This selection is not visible to the visitors to your site. For information about creating a section, see Section. |
Tags | Select the tags associated with this asset. This selection is visible to visitors to your site. For information about creating a tag, see Tag. |

AMP Disabled | Toggle on to disable generation of an AMP version of this asset. For details, see AMP. |
Promo Overrides
Field | Description |
Promo Category Link | Link associated with the promo category. This field inherits from the selected promo category, and you can override this as needed. |

Secondary Navigation | Select one of the options to override the inherited secondary navigation. For details, see Creating a navigation. |
The information on this tab presents a graphical or tabular representation of this asset's analytics. For information about configuring analytics ingestion and presentation, see Brightspot Analytics and Google Analytics.
Field | Description |
Locale | Sets the content's locale. This setting can also be used to auto-localize content based on the users requested locale. |
