Brightspot Content Types Guide

Quote

Quote modules emphasize a statement appearing inside an asset's body.

For a wire frame example of what this content type can look like on your site, see Quote design.

Note
This topic describes how to create a shared quote module that you can use in multiple assets. If you want to create a one-off quote module, see Creating a one-off module.

To create a quote module:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Quote.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the quote module.

Quote fields

Click each tab below to see a description of the associated fields.

FieldDescription
TextEnter the quote without quotation marks. Brightspot adds quotation marks in the published asset.
AttributionEnter the name of the person whom you are quoting.
Attribution ImageClick search and select an image. This image is visible to visitors to your site.

FieldDescription
AnchorModify the anchor to something that would make sense when appearing in an Anchor field's drop-down menu on another asset. This allows you to directly link to this module in another asset. Being specific makes it easier to identify in a list of other anchors.
