Configuring the YouTube integration

You can configure integrated search with YouTube at the Global level or the site level. Global configurations are inherited by all sites, and site-level configurations override Global configurations. This topic explains how to configure this integrated search at the Global level.

Tip
The configuration in this topic is often done in parallel with the associated configuration in the Google Cloud console. Consider performing this procedure along with the one described in Creating API credentials in Google Cloud.

To configure integrated search with YouTube:

  1. In your YouTube console, obtain your API key and channel ID.
  2. Click menu > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global
  3. From the Integrations tab, expand the YouTube cluster.
  4. Under YouTube API Client, select Create New.
  5. In the Name field, enter an internal name. Brightspot uses this name in selection fields.
  6. In the API Key and Channel ID fields, paste the values from step 1.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Back.
  9. From the YouTube API Client list, select the integration you created.
